It is punk in its fury, noise in its extremity rash, and progressive in shape: small p-per-gress as a verb, progress progress progress, move move move, forward, onward upward.
Noisig verknotetet and sinewy verästeltelt comes from the instrumental rock of THE PSYCHIC PARAMOUNT. The music of the New York trio is full of corners, edges and dissonance, but entirely free from all too often encountered in instrumental rock contexts kitsch and self-pity. A discreet note Psych mixes with jazzy playfulness and openness to an interesting, powerful, noisigen mix of styles. The music is constantly in motion, always probing and looking different directions.
Six years after the debut album "Gamelan Into The Mink Supernatural" in February 2011 with "II" the second album from THE PSYCHIC PARAMOUNT LP and CD released by No Quarter.
